During this workshop, educators will:

  • Engage in a guided tour of The Great Mughals: Art, Architecture, and Opulence.
  • Learn about the flourishing culture of the Mughal Court’s golden age (1560–1660); its most famous emperors, Akbar and his son Jahangir and grandson Shah Jahan, ruled over extensive territories and saw the creation of new artistic traditions that included naturalistic portraits of men and women, vibrant representations of exotic animals, and luxurious decorative arts.
  • Participate in conversations and cross-curricular dialogue.
  • Review the Educator Guide and other resources created for the exhibition.
  • Participate in an informative lecture followed by an art-making activity inspired by the exhibition.
