Theme: Nature

The submission deadline is June 2.

Calling ALL Middle Tennessee teens! If you are between the ages of 13 and 19, we want to see your art inspired by the theme of NATURE. A jury of Frist Art Museum curators and educators will select artworks to be featured in an exhibition this summer titled Teens Take the Frist! (July 13–August 11, 2024). The exhibition will be on view in the Frist’s Upper-Level Education Corridor. Advisory: the exhibition will be accessible to all ages.

We invite you to submit one work of art for consideration. If multiple works are submitted, only the latest entry will be considered. We will only accept submissions of two-dimensional works that are no larger than 18 inches on the longest side. Make sure that your artwork meets all the terms and conditions on the submission form. Artists will be notified of selections by June 12. Artworks chosen for the exhibition will be delivered, unmatted and unframed, to the museum between June 13 and June 30.

The Frist reserves the right to reproduce the submitted images and display those that have been selected for the duration of the exhibition. The artist (and their parent/guardian if the artist is under the age of 18) must complete and sign press and photo release forms upon request.
