Tonia Dixon, LPC

Originally from the Chicago area, Tonia has been in Nashville for over 17 years and considers herself a Nashvillian. Her journey led her to Atlanta Georgia, where she studied psychology at Georgia State University and began working with her first love of exercise and fitness as a regional fitness instructor for the Atlanta Metropolitan area. These two
worlds coming together gave way to her first introduction of the mind-body connection and would set the stage for how she would impact the lives of others.

After moving to Nashville, she continued her education and attended graduate school at Tennessee State University and received a graduate degree in counseling psychology. Nashville availed her the ability to test her physical talents with The Tennessee Titans where she spent six years as a NFL Cheerleader and continues with the NFL Cheerleaders Alumni association. Learning about how to improve the human experience is what drives Tonia and she continued through the process of licensing and has been operating as a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2015. Her passion for mental wellness is driven by her belief that having someone in your corner or knowing someone is there you can safely speak to is an unspoken need. Tonia loves helping people bridge the gap between knowing how to ask for help and connecting to the right help. She has served a variety of populations within several settings including long term care, the court and judicial systems, Military systems, inpatient settings, outpatient and IOP programs, mental health, Veterans and Drug treatment courts, operating as a private provider and operating as a facilitator and consultant for the discipline. Tonia’s passions outside of work include spending time with family, relaxing to good music, continuing to enjoy the beauty of movement, always gracing her space with humor and laughter, living every moment to engage nature’s beauty and loving every minute of it.
