The Gift Shop will host more than 40 local vendors on the tenth annual Museum Store Sunday. Proceeds support artisans and small businesses in Middle Tennessee as well as general museum operations. Local jewelers, ceramicists, authors, and artists will be set up selling wares alongside bakers and specialty food purveyors.
Since the Museum Store Association (MSA) launched Museum Store Sunday in 2017, participation has more than tripled from 670 cultural institutions to 2,360 and counting. The global advocacy campaign’s slogan, “Shop with Purpose,” conveys the organization’s mission to promote economic sustainability and cultural engagement for museums and the communities they support.
