Call to Artists for Facebook Holiday Cover Image

We are seeking works of art inspired by the holiday season to use as cover images on the Frist Art Museum’s Facebook page. This call is for adults only (ages 18+). A jury of Frist Art Museum curators and educators will select four images to be featured during the month of December (one image per week). Creators of selected entries will receive a Frist Art Museum gift package and a yearlong museum membership.

As you create your holiday-themed work of art, make sure that it meets our Terms and Conditions below. Then scan or photograph your entry, saving it as a JPEG at 851 x 315 pixels (height x width). Include the title of your piece in the filename, and send it to us with your name, contact information (email address preferred), and the title and the medium of your work. The submission deadline is November 26, 2020.

I acknowledge that I am the sole author and owner of all copyrights to the work of art (the “Work”) that I am hereby submitting to the Frist Art Museum (“FAM”) for possible inclusion as a 2020 Holiday Facebook Timeline Cover Image (the “Exhibit”). I grant to FAM a nonexclusive worldwide license to use the Work for online display on Facebook and to use the Work in promotional and marketing materials related to the Exhibit for a term of one (1) year from December 1, 2020, through December 1, 2021 (the “Term”). FAM will retain a copy of the Work for its archive but not make use of the Work after the Term without my permission. I acknowledge that the Work does not invade the privacy of any person or publicize any matter of any person’s life that would be considered offensive to a reasonable person. Additionally, the Work does not include the image or likeness of any person, copyrighted works, or trademarks owned by any other person or entity, or private property owned by any other person or entity. I also acknowledge that FAM reserves the right to select no more than four (4) Works for inclusion in this Exhibit, and that FAM further reserves the right to select Works that do not, in FAM’s sole judgment, violate the restrictions set forth above.
