FRIST CENTER CELEBRATES THE GOLDEN AGE OF COUTURE WITH
COCKTAILS AND COUTURE

NASHVILLE, TENN.—(July 19, 2010)—The Frist Center for the Visual Arts celebrates The Golden Age of Couture with a special social event, Cocktails and Couture, Saturday, August 7, 6:00 p.m., in the Grand Lobby. Patrons are encouraged to dress in their favorite vintage attire for an evening of cocktails, canapés, a luxury silent auction and an opportunity to leisurely stroll through the beautiful The Golden Age of Couture exhibition on view in the Frist Center’s Ingram Gallery.

“We have been having such fun with the The Golden Age of Couture exhibition,” said Frist Center Associate Director of Development Autumn Parrott, “and have had quite a few people ask us to plan a fun social event for which they could ‘dress up.’ Cocktails and Couture is our response to that request. We have combined this idea with a fabulous silent auction to add to the evening’s fun!”

Tickets

Reservations are required for this event and must be made by Wednesday, July 28. Tickets for Frist Center Members are $90.00 and admission for non-members is $125.00. Guests may purchase tickets by calling 615.744.3248. The ticket price includes cocktails, hors d’oeuvres, admission to the galleries, live music, a luxury silent auction and free parking. Guests will also receive a gift bag from Elan Hair and Elan Skin – Green Hills.

Silent Auction Items

Proceeds from the silent auction will benefit the Frist Center. Silent auction items include:

• “Evening with Billy Reid”
Private fitting and collaboration with award-winning menswear designer Billy Reid to create a made-to-measure suit (value to $2,000). Also included is a cocktail party hosted by Jeanne and Billy Reid in Billy Reid’s Hill Center shop (including live music) for up to 20 friends.

Two round-trip tickets to anywhere Southwest Airlines flies.
