Join us for a gallery talk with Aimee Slagle, the Frist Art Museum Education and Engagement Department’s spring intern. Together, we’ll journey through the techniques and themes on display in The Impressionist Revolution: Monet to Matisse from the Dallas Museum of Art. We will discuss innovations in the artistic processes that defined the visual language of the impressionist movement and signaled a break from tradition. Discover how a movement characterized by the soft and atmospheric became the face of a rebellious new generation of artists.
