The Frist loves families! On selected Sundays each month, join us for special kid-friendly programming, family tours, and multisensory gallery experiences.


Schedule of Events

Multisensory Exploration Station: 1:00–5:00 p.m. 

A Multisensory Exploration Station is available in the galleries and offers opportunities for visitors of all ages to touch, smell, and listen to materials and objects of varying textures, aromas, and sounds that relate to the featured exhibition.

Family ARTlab: 1:00–4:00 p.m.

Check out a drop-in Family ARTlab in Studio A! Create your very own personalized bouquet inspired by artists like Édouard Manet and Paul Gauguin, who are featured in The Impressionist Revolution: Monet to Matisse from the Dallas Museum of Art. Start by tracing your hand. Then, with a staff member’s help, fill the traced hand with beautiful paper flowers and decorate the page to your heart’s content.

Family Tours: 1:30 p.m. & 2:30 p.m.

Martin ArtQuest
 is open every Sunday from 1:00 to 5:30 p.m. Get creative and explore interactive art-making stations where you try out painting, printmaking, animation, and more!
