2024 Young Tennessee Artists: Selections from Advanced Studio Art Programs

The deadline for art submissions has past.

The Frist Art Museum’s tenth biennial Young Tennessee Artists exhibition will showcase some of the finest two-dimensional artwork by students in Advanced Placement (AP) and International Baccalaureate (IB) studio art programs. The submission period will run from February 19 through May 12, 2024. Artwork for the exhibition will be selected by a jury of Tennessee artists, educators, and museum professionals.

Who is eligible?

High school students currently participating in a certified College Board Advanced Placement (AP) or International Baccalaureate (IB) studio art program (i.e., during the 2023–2024 academic year) are eligible for inclusion.

Submission details

Each student may submit digital images of up to ten two-dimensional works completed for an AP or IB studio art portfolio during the 2023–24 academic year. The maximum size for each work is thirty-six inches on its longest side. Because of exhibition space limitations, no three-dimensional work will be accepted. A short film of up to ten minutes in length may be submitted as one work.

The Frist Art Museum will mat and frame all works selected for display.
