Frist Center Names Consultant

Frist Center’s Staff Mummy Goes Mobile to Spread the Word about
The Quest for Immortality: Treasures of Ancient Egypt exhibition

NASHVILLE, TENN. and Tombs Unknown –(April 26, 2006) – In anticipation of the June 9 opening of The Quest for Immortality: Treasures of Ancient Egypt, the Frist Center for the Visual Arts eagerly awaits the resurrection of a new staff member who will serve as a consultant throughout the period of the exhibition, which closes Oct. 8, 2006.

The Mummy will join the Frist Center staff Friday, April 28 and will serve in several capacities, including making personal appearances throughout Nashville and duties in the area of outreach to the community. His inaugural appearance will be at the kickoff of Frist Fridays on April 28.

With the tremendous amount of preparation in the weeks leading to the exhibition’s opening, the Mummy will be buried with projects and by the exhibition’s end he may be completely drained.

“We are thrilled at the addition of this newly created Staff Mummy position here at the Frist Center,” said Executive Director Susan Edwards. “He seemed wrapped a bit tightly during his interview, but we believe he will enjoy the city’s easygoing atmosphere and informal dress code.”
