GUEST SPEAKERS
Guest speakers can be requested for a school visit to talk about career-based topics such as informal learning or nontraditional classroom teaching, graphic design, art education, art history & museum curation, or marketing & media relations.

CAREER EXPLORATION FIELD TRIPS
(Currently available only for Nashville School of the Arts and Hillwood High School)
Field trips can be requested for up to 20 students, with one chaperone per 10 students. This experience includes an introduction to the Frist Art Museum and the opportunity to hear from key staff about museum career paths.

TEACHER TEAM EXTERNSHIPS
Teacher Team Externships are available for June and July and applications must be submitted by March 1. This two- or three-day experience can be geared toward introducing teachers to the many careers within a museum, nontraditional teaching, nonprofit business practices, or arts integration.

INDIVIDUAL TEACHER EXTERNSHIPS
Teachers who have completed a Team Externship and have a standing relationship with the Frist Art Museum may request an individual three-day externship in museum education. Requests for externships with other museum professionals will be considered.

SITE TOURS FOR EDUCATORS
Site tours are available for academy teams to better understand the inner workings of the Frist Art Museum.

JOB SHADOWING FOR EDUCATORS
Teachers are invited to shadow a museum educator for a half-day to experience nontraditional teaching in a museum or community setting. Requests to shadow other museum professionals will be considered.
