Real Illusions: Contemporary Art from Nashville Collections

With 64 works drawn from local collections, Real Illusions celebrated the quality and diversity of contemporary realist and narrative art in Nashville collections.

Included were works by such internationally known artists as John Baeder, Duane Hanson, Richard Estes, Philip Pearlstein, and Alex Katz, as well as area favorites such as Barry Buxkamper, Marilyn Murphy, and Kit Reuther.

Real Illusions was organized by the Frist Art Museum.
