In this workshop series, we invite participants to slow down and take time to reflect and renew through viewing artwork and the practice of writing. As current studies attest, contemplative practices like expressive writing, art viewing, and meditation can support human health, healing, and well-being. Join us for this three-part workshop series as we explore how these modalities can promote healthy self-awareness, personal enjoyment, and care for both self and community.

Sign up for one or two classes, or for the entire series!

About the Porch Writers’ Collective

Founded in 2014, The Porch was dreamed up by two writers who longed for a space dedicated to the art and craft of the written word—a place for connection, study, discovery, and delight. Building on the rich literary traditions of Nashville and the South, The Porch joins other local cultural organizations in growing a vibrant creative community and diverse arts landscape. We aim to ensure that the art of writing will thrive here and anywhere writers’ voices are waiting to be heard.
