Call to Teen Artists
Submit your work between March 2 and May 15.
Calling ALL teens from Cheatham, Davidson, Robertson, Rutherford, Sumner, Williamson, and Wilson counties! If you are between the ages of 13 and 19, we want to see your art. A jury of Frist Art Museum curators and educators will select artworks to be featured this summer in an exhibition titled Teens Take the Frist (June 18–August 16, 2020). Advisory: The exhibition space is in a free public area accessible to all ages.
We invite you to submit one work of art for consideration. We will accept submissions only of works on paper (5 x 7 in. minimum; 9 x 12 in. maximum). Your original must not be matted or framed, must be free of hanging hardware, and must weigh no more than 0.5 pounds. No 3-D works, including canvas panels, will be accepted. Make sure that your artwork meets all the terms and conditions on the submission form.
Artists are responsible for delivery and pickup of their work within parameters to be specified by the museum. The Frist reserves the right to reproduce the submitted images and display those that have been selected for the duration of the show. The artist (and their parent/guardian, if the artist is under 18) must complete and sign press release, reproduction, and photo release forms upon request.
