During this workshop, learn about Asian textiles from China, India, Japan, Persia (present-day Iran), and Turkey made between the fifteenth century and today, as well as their importance to global trade. After a tour of Weaving Splendor, join a discussion about the exhibition and curriculum connections while taking part in an on-site art-making activity and off-site excursion.

Spend the morning touring the exhibition and participating in a silk-painting activity. Then, join us at Abbas Oriental Rugs in the afternoon to learn about the art and cultural significance of rug making.
