Open to educators of all subjects, pre-K–12; limited to 15 participants.

Cost: $30 members; $35 not-yet-members (all materials, gallery admission, parking validation, continental breakfast, and lunch included)

During this workshop, learn about Asian textiles from China, India, Japan, Persia (present-day Iran), and Turkey made between the fifteenth century and today, as well as their importance to global trade. After a tour of Weaving Splendor, join a discussion about the exhibition and curriculum connections while taking part in an on-site art-making activity and off-site excursion.

Spend the morning touring the exhibition and participating in a silk-painting activity. Then, join us at Cheekwood in the Japanese Garden for an afternoon tea ceremony.
