A workshop and panel discussion featuring local Asian American and Pacific Islander artists and designers.
The panel discussion will be held in the auditorium and is free, but requires registration. The workshop will take place after the discussion in Studio B and also requires registration. The cost is $25.
Enjoy a panel discussion on design and identity inspired by Weaving Splendor: Treasures of Asian Textiles from The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, currently on view at the Frist through December 31.
The conversation will feature local Asian American and Pacific Islander designers reflecting on their practices, diaspora design, and life in Middle Tennessee. Panelists include Van Hoang, Drew Nguyen, and Malee Cherry.
Following the discussion, an interactive workshop with one of the designers will be offered in Studio B.
