About the Artist

Nashville-based singer-songwriter Ronny Criss blends Americana, country, pop, and rock with heartfelt lyricism and a voice rich in grit and soul. Born in Forest City, Arkansas, and raised in Palos Hills, Illinois, Criss first made waves as one half of indie-folk duo Sea Changer, earning acclaim for collaborations like “Heart is Home” with Birdtalker and “See You There” with Molly Parden. In 2021, he signed with Rainfeather Records and released his debut solo album, Highways, produced by Bryan Clark. Hailed as “the ultimate road record,” it featured standout appearances by Katie Cole of the Smashing Pumpkins and longtime creative partner Shawn Byrne.

Criss’s music has been featured on ABC’s Grey’s Anatomy, which propelled his songwriting into viral territory for a global audience. He has collaborated with Nashville talents like Jameson Rodgers, Reed Foley, and Dave Fenley, and performed at top-tier events including Tin Pan South, Dripping Springs, and Sandy Lee Songfest (returning in 2025)—further cementing his reputation as a versatile and sought-after talent in Music City. Now, with the summer release of his sophomore album, Hurricane Heart, Criss dives deeper into rich, cinematic Americana. The record builds on his roots while confidently stepping into fresh sonic territory, masterfully blending genres and emotion with his trademark authenticity. Featuring a powerful guest appearance by the legendary McCrary Sisters, Hurricane Heart channels the spirit of Highways while exploring bold new ground—an album that feels both timeless and unmistakably now. It’s a confident evolution from an artist on the rise—one who feels classic, yet entirely his own.
