About Josey

Josey is soul pop artist born and raised in Houston, Texas. She is also a first-generation Nigerian American. After being crowned the winner of the talent competition The Fame Chicago in 2016, Josey got her bachelor of music degree from Columbia College Chicago and has been living in Nashville pursuing music for the last six years. Her talents have led her to perform at numerous venues, such as Nashville Pride Festival, The Chicago Theatre, The Listening Room, The Country Music Hall Of Fame and Museum, City Winery, The Basement, Auditorium Theatre, Exit/IN, and The Bedford. Josey has also performed with gifted songwriters and musicians such as Carrie Underwood, Diane Warren, Corey Henry, Allison Russell, and Shawn Mullins. She is a proud member of The Black Opry, Song Suffragettes, and SongHouse. Josey is working to release her debut EP and new music later this fall.
