The Frist loves families! On the second Sunday of each month, join us for family tours, story tours, multisensory gallery experiences, and a visit to the Martin ArtQuest Gallery.
- A Family Tour begins at 1:45 p.m. at the Ingram Gallery information desk.
- Bilingual Story & Song with Rachel Rodriguez from 2:30–4:00 p.m.—Join musician and educator Rachel Rodriguez as she presents her Bilingual Story and Song program featuring beloved music legend Dolly Parton’s book I Am a Rainbow. One of Music City’s treasures, Rodriguez is both an enchanting frontwoman and an accomplished educator, celebrating her Latino heritage with children and families through bilingual music programs and a children’s album called Songs for My Little Amigos. Parton’s upbeat and colorful book I Am a Rainbow provides children with a fun way to talk about their feelings and respect the feelings of others.
- A Multisensory Exploration Station is available in the Upper-Level Galleries from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Multisensory Exploration Station offers opportunities for visitors of all ages to touch, smell, and listen to materials and objects of varying textures, aromas, and sounds that relate to the featured exhibition.
- The interactive Martin ArtQuest Gallery is open every Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Explore art-making stations relating to the exhibition Beatrix Potter: Drawn to Nature!
Tours, story tours, and exploration stations are subject to change based on volunteer availability.
