Presented by TC

Join the Frist Art Museum for this collage-making studio workshop led by Art in the Atrium artist TC, inspired by the exhibition Multiplicity: Blackness in Contemporary American. Create a wearable artwork using a variety of materials. You may even make your own Halloween costume!

TC was born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee. They are an innovator, fashion designer, artist, and lifelong learner. At the age of 16, after being introduced to the art of Romare Bearden and Jean-Michel Basquiat by their art teacher, they began making collages based on their experiences as a Black, queer adolescent in the South. Two years later, they began designing clothing. They enjoy reconnecting people with their childhoods and talking about their experiences growing up as a Black, queer kid in America.
