Leaves Of Gold
Treasures of Manuscript Illumination from Philadelphia Collection
This exhibition explored the era, before mechanical printing techniques, when artists and scribes labored devotedly to craft intricate illuminated manuscripts by hand.
Organized by the Philadelphia Museum of Art in association with the Philadelphia Area Consortium of Special Collections Libraries and with the support of the Philadelphia Exhibitions Initiative (a program funded by The Pew Charitable Trusts and administered by The University of the Arts, Philadelphia).
