BOTH WORKSHOPS ARE SOLD OUT.

$25 Frist Art Museum members; $30 not-yet-members (all materials, gallery admission, parking validation, continental breakfast, and lunch included).
Space is limited to 20 participants. Open to educators of all subjects, pre-K–12.

During this workshop, examine paintings by masters such as Edgar Degas, Édouard Manet, Claude Monet, Henri Rousseau, and Vincent van Gogh. Participate in a gallery tour and studio activities, receive teaching materials, and discuss curriculum connections. Artist Megan Lightell will share ideas and hands-on activities that will encourage teachers to take students outdoors to draw and paint from direct observation in the tradition of the French painters who worked en plein air. Educators will leave this workshop with a variety of options for including an outdoor observational painting process in their curriculum.
